Cheney Train Depot

The Cheney Depot Society initially approached Walker to assist in the planned relocation of the historic Train Depot following research into other successful Spokane-area historic renovation projects. During the initial phase of the project, Walker worked with the movers to structurally reinforce the building for its trip down the tracks, as well as its new foundation package. The building is currently being prepared for future tenant usage and is being outfitted with modern, energy code compliant mechanical systems, while incorporating original elements for the eventual occupancy for train lovers and history buffs. Framing interior and exterior walls, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, and mechanical elements are all under way, and future plans for site improvements are in progress with the Society and their partners.
