Gonzaga University Tilford Academic Center

Spokane, WA

The 47,000 SF historic 1915 W.P. Fuller & Company building underwent a comprehensive renovation and remodeling to transform it into an educational facility for the School of Professional Studies (SPS). Previously vacant for many years, Gonzaga initiated floor-by-floor renovations to accommodate various departments, including SPS Administration, Organization Leadership, Doctoral Programs, Nursing, and general classrooms for other schools. The renovation encompassed exterior refurbishment, full mechanical and electrical upgrades, landscaping, and an interior design package. The building now serves Gonzaga University’s needs, featuring a lobby with retail space, classrooms for 150 students, an operational nursing lab, a computer lab, conference rooms, a café, offices for 70 staff members, and the renovation of an existing loading dock. This successful renovation project showcases the adaptive reuse of a historic structure to meet the evolving needs of an educational institution.
