North Valley Hospital South Addition

Tonasket, WA

A two-level 21,800 SF addition expanded this critical Care Hospital, providing new space for the Emergency Department, Trauma, Cardiac Care, O.B., 10 patient rooms and one swing bedroom. New mechanical, electrical, and medical gas systems were roughed in at the basement level in preparation for the next project that will build out space for Physical Therapy and a new surgical suite. Renovation efforts transformed 1,500 SF of the existing building into the hospital’s new main entry and admitting area. The budget was developed three years before the bond was passed. Knowing the full scope could not be completed, the construction team made every effort to make future expansion easier.
