This project is a wood-structure, corridor-loaded apartment building that includes forty-seven units of affordable housing. Units range in size from studios to 3-bedrooms. Interior finishes include quartz countertops, solid core interior doors, Stile & Rail unit entry doors, full kitchens, and one or two bathrooms. The greatest challenge on this project was that the site was nearly all solid basalt rock. Blasting was utilized to break up the rock, and even though the site is located in a dense urban housing location in the North Central area of Spokane, during covid, the project was extended only 20 days, and was completed within budget.
