Walker Construction built this 16th branch for the region’s largest credit union near Regal and 57th Street on the South Hill in Spokane. This project received certification as a LEED Silver building for environmental stewardship. The interior construction materials and furnishings are certified low in volatile organic compounds that can contribute to health problems. Most building materials and furnishings were produced within 500 miles of the construction site, and nearly all construction debris was recycled. The project included bike racks, lockers, and a shower room for employees who bike or walk to work.
