This new construction project, and more than two acres of site development, produced 30 townhome-style affordable housing units across eight buildings in Toppenish, WA. The total building square footage is 35,287 SF, and it meets Evergreen Sustainability Development Standards. The project required payment of Washington State Residential Prevailing wages with weekly certified payrolls to be submitted to Walker Construction. Funding sources included the Washington State Housing Trust Fund. Documentation requirements included certified payrolls and apprenticeship participation. Solicitation of MBE subcontractors was done during the pre-construction and at time of bidding.
